No fewer than seven persons were said to have been killed by suspected bandits at Yanbuki community in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Sources said that the bandits stormed the community Tuesday night and started shooting sporadically, killing the seven persons.
The sources also said, the suspected bandits rustled 1,500 cattle and carted away many valuables from the affected community.
Eyewitnesses also revealed that about 11 communities have been sacked by the suspected bandits in Zurmi Local Government Area of the State from last Friday to date.
They include Yanbuki, Bindin, Kadamutsa, Gidan Zago, Marmaro and Dada.
Others are Maduba, Kacha, Huhu, Dangasamu and Hushin Dusti.

The attacks, killings and abduction of innocent citizens in Zamfara State have continued, despite the shutting down of telecom services and other security measures, put in place by the government, to rid the state of criminal elements.
