Imo Govt alleges plans by politicians to cause unrest

The Imo State Government says it has uncovered plans by certain politicians to embarrass the government and further cause security breaches in the state.

Addressing journalists in Owerri, the State Capital, Commissioner for Information and strategy, Declan Emelumba said the government cannot afford to condone a new cycle of Insecurity in the State and warned any group or individual planning to cause unrest in the state to have a rethink.

The Commissioner called on well-meaning Nigerians to ignore mindless campaigns labeling Imo state as unsafe, explaining that governor Hope Uzodimma is committed to safeguarding the lives and property of all residents.
