The Federal University of Health Sciences Otukpo in Benue State has finally taken off with a total of 230 students who participated in its maiden matriculation at its temporary site in Otada, Otukpo local government area of the State.
Minister for Education Adamu Adamu represented by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Sunny Echono said its establishment was part of efforts to reverse the brain drain in the education and health sector.
Established to bridge the huge gap in the medical field, the Federal University of Health Sciences Otukpo Benue State has taken its first step towards attaining its set objective.
Over two hundred pioneer students are here inducted into specialized health science courses to kick start the unending educational journey for countless sessions to come.

This is a feat the representative of the Minister for Education says was strategically inspired.
Following this maiden matriculation ceremony, officially declaring the beginning of a new dawn, the Federal University of Health Sciences Otukpo has joined the league of Universities across the country to deliver education to the country’s teeming population.
