Stakeholders at a just concluded arts and culture workshop in Benin, have described them as tools capable of eradicating poverty and facilitate economy growth from the grassroot if well utilized.
The five-day workshop was for over three hundred Edo residents including aged women.

The workshop is aimed at eradicating poverty at the grassroot through arts and culture, afforded the over 300 participants, drawn from Oredo local government area of Edo state, the opportunity to learn basket making, hair weaving, coral bead making, visual arts painting, sculpture, pottery, costumes, make up, and the techniques of tie and dye, among others.
The director general of CBAAC, Oluwabunmi Ayobami urged the participants to take the training seriously as it can help them to be financially independent.
