Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki and the President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, Wale Oke, have advocated for the inclusion of private and faith based institutions of higher learning in the Tertiary Education Trust Fund.
This advocacy was done at the first Archbishop Benson Idahosa memorial lecture which held in Benin City.

Tertiary education is essential as it improves the quality of living and engenders development.
It is against this backdrop that the President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, Bishop Wale Oke is soliciting for support through inclusion in the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETfund, for private and faith based universities.
He says the schools provide essential educational services which produce quality manpower for economic and non economic growth.
Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki also lends his voice to the call for the addition of non government institutions of higher learning to the scheme.
As of today, TETfund provides supplementary support to public tertiary institutions with the main objective of using funding alongside project management for the rehabilitation, restoration and consolidation of Tertiary Education in Nigeria.
