Nigeria Insurgency: Army pledges commitment to welfare of Troops

The Nigerian Army says, it will continue to address the challenges its troops are contending with, in the fight against insecurity across the country.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Faruk Yahaya disclosed this during an interview with journalists in Minna, the Niger State capital.

Lieutenant-General Faruk Yahaya assured the soldiers that issues affecting their welfare will be looked into and improved.

He commended the troops across the country on the ongoing fight against insecurity in different parts of Nigeria and asked them not to relent.

Lieutenant-General Faruk Yahaya called on Nigerians to continue to work with the Army, by giving them reliable information that will assist to curtail the activities of the bandits.

The Chief of Army Staff was on a familiarization visit to the Brigade and the Training and Doctrine Command, Minna, in Niger State.
