The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command and some members of the Civil Society Organizations have taken to the streets in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, to campaign against the rising cases of rape and child trafficking in Nigeria .
Speaking during the walk, the Kwara State Commandant of the NSCDC, Iskil Makinde and other Stakeholders said an average of fifty cases of rape and child molestation are reported monthly by the Command, a development the commandant said has reached a very disturbing stage.

The Commandant and the Civil Society groups said those who engage in child molestation in any form must be punished according to the laws for destroying the future of young Nigerians.
Other participants at the walk also speak on their expectations from the parents and youths , on how best to end the menace of rape and child trafficking.
The stakeholders say ending rape and child molestation in Nigeria require the collective efforts of parents, security agencies , other critical stakeholders including government.
