The teeming youths in the country, especially in the security prone areas, have been challenged to create job opportunities from the current state of insecurity in the nation, rather than being lazy with lamentations of no jobs.

Governor Aminu Masari who gave the challenge at the ground breaking ceremony for the N5.8 billion interchange road at Kofar Kaura and Kwaya in the state capital, said the youths have the opportunity to form neighbourhood watch to protect their communities, villages and towns, against attacks from bandits that have now been declared as terrorists.

The Governor said it is worrisome, how youths keep complaining about the lack of jobs.

He threw the challenge, tasking them to make productive use of the security situation in the country and Katsina state in particular to compliment the security agencies due to the shortage of personnel.

He further called on the people to be very security conscious and vigilant and be part of “Operation Know Your Neighbours”

Masari promised to keep doing everything possible to secure the State and to return it to its peaceful status thereby, bring about development.
