Police in Delta arrest gunman after exchange of fire

Police arrest

Police Divisional Patrol Team in Kwale, headquarters of Ndokwa-West Local Government Area of Delta State have apprehended two robbery suspects in possession of Forty-two rounds of assorted live ammunition, a locally made Revolver Pistol and cash of over One Hundred and Three Thousand Naira.

The suspects, Ohajiaka Sunday and Rukevwe Jagu both twenty-four years old were arrested during a Stop-and-Search Operation along an adjourning street in Kwale Council area.

Delta State Police Command in a statement by its spokesperson, Bright Edafe says officers of the Anti-Crime Team in a separate visibility patrol along the Nigerian Ports Authority Expressway Warri, arrested another suspects; Hashimu Garba and Yusuf Ibrahim after an exchange of gunfire.

Items recovered from these suspects who in all are undergoing investigations in the Police custody include a Cut-to-Size locally made single barrel gun, three live cartridges and two expended cartridges.

The statement further assured the Command will maintain the pressure in ensuring the forthcoming yuletide is crime-free in Delta State.
