Residents of Eda Oniyo, the headquarters of Ilejemeje local government area of Ekiti state have raised alarm over the deplorable state of social amenities in the local government area.
The local government which was created in 1996, continue to suffer infrastructure gap, years after it’s creation, a development residents say has impacted negatively on development at the grassroots.

The Chairman of Ilejemeje local government Akinola Oladunjoye blamed the development on lack of sufficient financial resources of the local government, noting that autonomy for local government, will help boost financial capacity.
Residents of the local government area are therefore appealing to the Ekiti State government to intervene.
