The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Ayuba Wabba Says the working class will not accept the astronomical hike in prices of cooking gas, amidst biting economic challenges.
Wabba was speaking in Abuja at the public presentation of a research finding on violence and harassment at work places, jointly conducted by the NLC and the American Labour solidarity Centre.

Part of the findings indicates a rise in gender-based violence at the peak of the covid 19 pandemic.
The NLC President, who is also the global president of the International Trade union congress, ITUC agrees to lead an advocacy to the ministry of justice to push for Nigeria to ratify the international Labour Organisation’s convention 190 on harassment at work places.
NLC women commission President and other participants call for collective efforts to eliminate gender-based violence, especially in the world of work.
