Benin/Sapele/Warri Road: Road users stage protest over worsening situation

The deplorable state of the Benin/ Sapele/Warri road en route to Bayelsa and Rivers states from Benin city is giving the residents of the area where the road is mostly affected and other users sleepless night.

For about three days now the residents and road users have blocked the road in protest of its bad state calling on Government agencies to come to their rescue.

Residents of Ogheghe community, a suburb of Benin city, by the Sapele Road bye pass and other road users Of the Benin/Sapele-Warri road leading to Bayelsa and Rivers states have been on the road for days protesting the bad state of the road, they said all their efforts to draw Government’s attention to fix the bad portion of the road by Ogheghe community were futile, hence they decided to embark on a protest and block the road, their action left travelers stranded for days.

They appealed to Both the state and federal governments to find a lasting solution to the failed portion of the Benin/Sapele Warri road.
