The Niger State Council of The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Niger has secured admission for its interested members to undergo various professional certificate courses at the International Institute of Journalism, Abuja.
The Chairman of the Union, Abu Nmodu, disclosed this during a Congress meeting at the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida Pen-House, Minna, the Niger State capital.
Abu Nmodu also explained that the Union has taken over the responsibility of paying half of the tuition fees of four members of the council, who have graduated from the institution.
The Chairman reminded the members that the welfare of journalists in the state will continue to receive the desired attention, as part of efforts to fulfil his campaign promises, few months ago.

He charged Journalists to work towards the development of Niger state.
The union leader stressed that the development of the state is paramount to the lives of all the people of the state.
While speaking on his leadership in the last six months, Abu Nmodu described it as challenging and fulfilling.
