No fewer than three hundred thousand Pregnant women in Cross River State are to benefit from different vaccinations especially polio and COVID-19 Vaccines in the state.
The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Betta Edu made this known during the second round of maternal and new born week at Odukpani Local Government Area, where vaccines against various diseases were administered.
Edu said persons above 18 years will also be given covid-19 vaccines against the new variant disease in a bid to make Cross River Safe for all.

On her part, the Director General of Cross River Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Janet Ekpeyong said government was committed to eradicating every vaccine preventable diseases in the State.
Other health incentives given to pregnant women include Vitamin A nutritional supplements, delivery kits, vaccination, distribution of long lasting insecticide treated nets, deworming, screening for malnutrition among others.
