NPFL: Remo Stars Beat 3SC In Ibadan, Ikorodu City Move To Third Position

Remo Stars football club of Ikenne has moved closer to winning their first Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL title after a 1-0 away win over Shooting Stars on Sunday.

Alex Oyowah scored the decisive goal for Daniel Ogunmodede’s side in the 60th minute

Remo Stars now top the standings with 65 points from 34 games.

In Port Harcourt, Rivers United strengthened their hold on second position with a 1-0 win over Sunshine Stars.of Akure

The Pride of Rivers secured their goal through Suleiman Abba six minutes before the final whistle.

Ikorodu City maintained their continental hopes with a 1-1 draw against El-Kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri.

Emmanuel Solomon gave Ikorodu City the lead in the 41st minute, while Sama’ila Bello equalised for the hosts four minutes later.

Ikorodu City moved into third position on the table after the result.

In other matches, Heartland drew 0-0 with Kwara Utd in Owerri

Akwa Utd also recorded a goalless draw against Plateau Utd, while Niger Tornadoes were forced to a 1-1 draw against Bayelsa Utd
