Bauchi Governor raises concerns over resurgence of bandits in Alkaleri Forest

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed says he is concerned with the recent resurgence of bandits in the Alkaleri Forest and wants the Nigerian Air Force to mobilize forces with other security agencies to sanitize the area

The governor said this during the Civil-Military Relations Open Day 2025, as the Special Operations Command, Nigerian Air Force Headquarters Base, Bauchi, joined other formations in celebration

The activities for the celebrations were lined up with the playing of historical documentaries of the Nigerian Air Force, career talks and showcasing of different types of Air Force uniforms, aimed at inspiring the invited students and exposing them to some of the significant milestone achievements of the Nigerian Air Force.

Governor Mohammed who was Guest of Honour at the event was represented by his Security Adviser retired assistant inspector general of police Ahmed Abdulrahman.

He lauded the achievements of the Nigerian Air Force for the milestone achievements before drawing attention to the recent resurgence of bandits in Alkaleri Forest

With the theme: Optimising Civil-Military Relations in a Joint Environment for Enhanced Air Operations, The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, Represented by the Nigeria Airforce, (NAF), Commanding Officer, Special Operations in Bauchi, Air Vice Marshal Usman Abubakar, underscored the importance of collaboration, between the military and civilian authorities, in achieving common national objectives.
