Flying Eagles head coach, Aliyu Zubairu has expressed satisfaction with the outcome of his team’s clash with Kenya.
The seven-time champions held the Rising Stars to a 2-2 draw in their final Group B game at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Cairo on Wednesday.
Nigeria sealed a place in the quarter-final after securing the second spot in the group with five points from three games.
Morocco occupy top spot with seven points from same number of matches.
Zubairu confessed that the Rising Stars made things difficult for his team.

He said the Kenyans had played two games previously which they lost. They came all out so that they don’t leave the competition without getting a win.
He however appealed to Nigerians not be disappointed with the result because of the opposition but what was important is for Nigeria to get to the next stage, which is the quarter-final.
