Governors of Nigeria’s Northwest region say they are committed to working together to tackle the pressing challenges facing their states.
This was the focus of discussions at the Northwest Governors Forum held in Kaduna.
The meeting brought together leaders from the seven states of the Northwest, with a shared goal of finding regional solutions to common problems.
Chairman of the Forum and Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, said the region continues to grapple with similar challenges, including insecurity, poverty, and underdevelopment.

He emphasized the need for stronger collaboration among member states to ensure coordinated responses and impactful results.
Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, reaffirmed the region’s readiness to partner with development agencies such as UNICEF and other international organizations.
He said such partnerships are crucial for accelerating progress in areas like education, healthcare, and youth empowerment.
The governors pledged to deepen cooperation and align development efforts across state lines, as part of a broader strategy to transform the Northwest region.
