A group of over 200 civil society organisations, led by the Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All, CSACEFA  is seeking Justice for Late Dowen College Student, Master Sylvester Oromoni and the school children killed by a ‘recklessness’  LASMA official.

The group is threatening to hold responsible the federal government, President Muhammadu Buhari, the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General, Abubakar Malami and the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu should they fail to ensure proper investigation is conducted into the death of Sylvester Oromoni and the other students crushed by a truck.

The group in a statement is also demanding that Dowen teachers and management to be placed under strict supervision and monitoring while the investigation into the alleged torture and eventual death of Master Sylvester is being conducted.

The Statement further urges the federal government and well-meaning Nigerians to compel the Lagos State Government to within the next one week hold weekly media briefing on the development of the investigation into the death of Master Sylvester Oromoni.

The group adds that Lagos State Government should as a matter of urgency subject LASMA staff and management to Psychological evaluation, to ascertain their fitness to enforce law following the killing of Babs fafunwa Millennium Senior and Junior Secondary School children, who were knocked down by a truck while returning from school.

It demands that All LASMA officials involved in the recklessness that led to the death of the students be arrested and prosecuted for murder and the appropriate punishment meted on them.
