Victor Osimhen continued his record-breaking season in shocking fashion as he scored his seventh goal in six games to help Galatasaray secure their record-extending 25th Turkish Süper Lig title

His clinical strike in the 3–0 win not only sealed the league crown but added to the Turkish Cup triumph he helped deliver earlier in the week, completing a memorable domestic double for the Istanbul giants.

The 25-year-old has now scored 25 league goals this season, moving three clear of his closest challenger, Başakşehir’s Krzysztof Piątek, with two matches left in the campaign.

Osimhen has amassed a staggering 36 goals across all competitions for the season—his highest-ever tally—while also contributing seven assists, underlining his evolution into a more complete forward.

This marks the most prolific and productive season in Osimhen’s club career and reinforces his status as one of Nigeria’s most dominant attacking exports in Europe.

At the opposite end of the table, Ibrahim Olawoyin delivered a key performance to help Rizespor inch further away from relegation danger.

The midfielder struck in the 32nd minute to give them the lead in an eventual 4–2 victory over Göztepe.

It was Olawoyin’s 11th league goal contribution of the season in 30 appearances,

It was also a dream outing for 21-year-old Jonathan Okoronkwo, who delivered a man-of-the-match performance for Hatayspor in their commanding 5–0 away victory over Adana Demirspor.

The young striker scored a brace, provided one assist, won a penalty (which he later missed), and completed 78 per cent of his passes in a sensational display of attacking prowess.

Okoronkwo also created a big chance and was a constant threat throughout his 63 minutes on the pitch. His performance not only earned plaudits but also lifted Hatayspor’s morale as the season winds down.

Funsho Bamgboye was introduced in the 64th minute and quietly impressed with tidy play. He made 10 touches, had 83 per cent pass accuracy, made one key pass, one tackle, one interception and won a ground duel, showing energy and tactical discipline in his cameo appearance.

Alex Iwobi featured for 66 minutes as Fulham edged Brentford 3–2 at the Brentford Community Stadium, helping the Cottagers secure their highest points tally in a single Premier League season.

Before being substituted for Harry Wilson, Iwobi recorded 77 per cent passing accuracy, completing 17 of 22 passes. He also registered one cross, one long ball, three ground duels, one aerial duel, one clearance and one tackle. However, the Nigerian midfielder’s outing was slightly marred by 12 instances of possession loss, one dribble past, and an error that led to a shot on goal.

From the heart of defence, Calvin Bassey played the full match and impressed with seven clearances, one interception, one tackle, two ground duels and three aerial duels, while losing possession only three times in a solid display at the back.

Tolu Arokodare continued his prolific form in the Belgian Pro League with another impactful display off the bench for Genk in their clash against rivals Gent.

The striker saw his 83rd-minute effort ruled out for offside but remained undeterred, scoring just five minutes later to seal the win. The goal took his league tally to 22 for the season, bolstering his campaign for the golden boot after recently clinching the Ebony Shoe Award, given to the best African player in Belgium.

Chrisantus Uche returned to scoring form for the first time since February, netting in Getafe’s 2–1 away win over Mallorca to end a seven-match winless streak in La Liga.

The 21-year-old, who has faced disciplinary challenges this season following red cards against Osasuna in March and Espanyol in April, stepped up to double Getafe’s lead with a composed finish. Despite Mallorca pulling one back in stoppage time, Uche’s contribution proved vital in helping the Deep Blue Ones stave off relegation concerns.

In Spain, Rasheedat Ajibade brought the curtain down on her Atlético Madrid career with an emotional farewell in their 5–0 thrashing of Levante. Although she did not register a goal or assist in her final appearance, the moment was marked by a guard of honour from her teammates and a commemorative jersey presentation.

Moses Simon signed off the 2024/25 season in style as he netted from the spot and provided an assist to inspire Nantes to a 2–1 victory over Montpellier.

His contributions ensured Nantes finished 13th in Ligue 1 and underscored his importance to the club’s survival.

The performance took Simon’s tally to eight goals and 10 assists for the season, making him the first Nigerian player to reach double digits in assists in a single campaign across any of Europe’s top five leagues.

His creativity and pace have been a constant outlet for Nantes, and his milestone season where he made 200 appearances for the club only enhances his reputation as one of Africa’s premier wide men.

It was a long-awaited moment of relief for Terem Moffi, who finally found the back of the net for the first time in over a year after returning from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The striker came off the bench to score in Nice’s 6–0 hammering of their Ligue 1 opponents on the final day of the season.

Moffi’s return to scoring marks an important milestone in his recovery and offers renewed hope for the Super Eagles forward heading into the next campaign.

Cyriel Dessers continued his rich vein of form in front of goal, scoring for a fifth consecutive game as Rangers wrapped up their league season.

The Nigerian forward finished as the Scottish Premiership’s most lethal attacker with 18 league goals and a total of 29 across all competitions, alongside six assists in 55 appearances.

Defender Leon Balogun, however, had a frustrating end to his campaign after being forced off through injury in the 10th minute.

Before the early substitution, he made three clearances and two ground duels but lost possession twice. The injury setback capped an otherwise steady season for the veteran centre-back.
