The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) at its 300th Monetary Policy meeting said after a careful review of both global and domestic economic trends, the Monetary Policy Committee decided to hold the Monetary Policy Rate steady at 27.50%.
The Committee also retained the Cash Reserve Ratio at 50%, while maintaining its asymmetric corridor at +500 and -100 basis points.
The CBN Governor, Olayemi Cardoso, said the decision reflects a cautious approach to balancing inflation control with economic growth, amid ongoing uncertainties at home and abroad.
