President Bola Tinubu has strongly condemned the brutal killing of travellers in Plateau State, describing the act as “unacceptable and barbaric.”

The victims, 12 wedding guests, including the father and brother of the groom, were travelling from Zaria, Kaduna State, to Jos, Plateau State, when they were attacked.

The President directed the Nigerian Police Force to work with other Security Agencies to ensure the arrest and punishment of those responsible.

“Freedom of movement by all citizens is non-negotiable,” he said, urging the Plateau State Government to take decisive action to prevent future occurrences.

President Tinubu in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga commiserated with the victims’ families and the People and Government of Kaduna State, promising that the government would not allow such dastardly acts to go unpunished.
