Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has Presented a total of N381 Billion as proposed budget for the 2022 fiscal year.
During the presentation at the state house of Assembly, the Governor noted that the budget tagged ‘Budget of Wealth consolidation and recovery’ also known as the Peoples’ budget has capital expenditure of N284 billion representing about 74. 6 percent of the total budget while recurrent expenditure is N96 Billion representing 25.4 percent of the total budget.
In his welcome address, the Speaker of the Imo House of Assembly Kennedy Ibe, chronicled some achievements of the House of Assembly in the last one year especially on the number of bills passed and motions moved.
The Governor in his address, explained that the proposed budget for 2022 fiscal year was put together to have a lasting impact on the people.
