151 Senior Police Officers are currently facing the Force Disciplinary Committee over various allegations of misconduct and ethical violations.

According to the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, a disciplinary process began on Monday, July 14, and is taking place at the IGP Smart Conference Hall, Force Headquarters in Abuja.

It is expected to run until Friday, July 25, 2025.

The affected officers, who are of the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police and above, were drawn from different commands and formations across the country.

Adejobi said their cases are being reviewed in line with established police regulations and disciplinary procedure.

The Force Disciplinary Committee is the body responsible for handling such internal matters and will forward its final recommendations to the Police Service Commission.

Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has restated his administration’s commitment to enforcing discipline and maintaining high ethical standards within the Force.

He maintained that the Nigeria Police will not tolerate any form of indiscipline.

The ongoing disciplinary process is part of efforts by the Nigeria Police Force to promote professionalism, rebuild public trust, and ensure that the rule of law is upheld from within.

The proceedings mark a significant step in the Police Force’s internal accountability framework and are expected to result in appropriate actions against erring officers.
