Hundreds of commuters traveling along the Ado-Ekiti–Ilu Omoba road in Ekiti State are appealing to both the State and Federal Governments to urgently fix the bad and abandoned road, which has left many stranded for nearly five days.
The road, a major federal route, serves as a critical link connecting Ekiti State to Kogi State and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
When ait.live visited the scene where passengers have been stranded for days, several trailers and heavy-duty trucks were parked across the road, blocking movement due to the gridlock.

Stranded residents and commuters who spoke with ait.live expressed frustration, recounting how they have spent days in discomfort and uncertainty, unable to continue their journeys.
They are calling on the Federal Government and relevant stakeholders to intervene promptly and rehabilitate the road, ensuring the safety and convenience of road users.
