President Bola Tinubu has issued a firm directive for the full implementation of Nigeria’s National Single Window (NSW) project by the first quarter of 2026.
The Directive was conveyed on Tuesday during the fifth meeting of the NSW Steering Committee held at the State House in Abuja.
Representing the president at meeting was his chief of staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, who reiterated the administration’s resolve to meet its economic transformation targets of the administration.
He described the national single window as a key pillar in the President’s reform agenda, aimed at streamlining trade processes and enhancing Nigeria’s competitiveness.

The unified digital platform, when fully operational, is expected to simplify import and export operations, boost investment inflows, raise trade revenues, and improve transparency across border transactions.
The NSW project, a flagship initiative of the federal government, is designed to integrate all agencies involved in import and export operations into a single digital portal.
By consolidating processes, it aims to cut trade costs, reduce delays, and bring greater efficiency to Nigerian ports.
