Gusau Local Government Authority has confirmed that normalcy has returned to the communities where residents took to the streets to protest over the insecurity ravaging their communities.

It also assured that efforts are on to deploy troops in the troubled communities to protect residents of the area against the bandits who have continued to unleash terror on innocent citizens in Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.

The Vice Chairman of the Local Government, Aminu Wakili-Mada, disclosed this while speaking with Journalists in Gusau, the State capital about renewed bandits attacks on communities under the LGA, which left the people with no option but to take to the streets of Gusau to protest over the insecurity.

He said the local council authority is already making necessary arrangements with security agencies to deploy some of their men to the affected communities to protect the area and its people.

The Gusau Vice Chairman, Wakili-Mada-Mada, stated that normalcy and peace have been restored in the troubled communities: Pegi Mahe, Ruwanbore, and Bunji.

According to him, a security report revealed that Wunaka and Ruwanbore are dominated by the armed bandits, noting that deploying troops to those troubled communities could put their lives at risk.
