Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has disbursed over four hundred million naira to more than a thousand beneficiaries as part of his empowerment scheme.
Governor Eno handed out the packages during the town square meeting for in Eket Local Government Area of the state.
The Governor doled out grants to 268 farmers, 549 traders, 239 artisans, and cars were given to 12 beneficiaries while eight MSMEs got five million naira each.
Governor Eno used the occasion to clarify his relationship with his predecessor, Udom Emmanuel, insisting there is no friction between them.
