The Chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in Zamfara State, Jamil Jibo, has urged the Governor Dauda Lawal administration to intensify the fight against insecurity, and improve the agricultural sector.
He stressed that the majority of the residents are farmers, hence improving agriculture will benefit them.
He acknowledges the giant strides in the education, infrastructure the health sectors, among others, but emphasizes the need to scale up fighting of insecurity and supporting farmers.
Jibo said this while speaking with journalists, during an event to distribute cash grants to small business owners in Kaura Namoda LGA.
Joy has come the way of one hundred women and men, who are into small businesses, as cash grants of between one hundred thousand and two hundred thousand Naira were distributed to beneficiaries in the Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.
The State Chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Jamil Jibo, who made the distribution, hinted that one of the party’s goals is to empower people, and lift them out of poverty to prosperity, which informed the financial support he is offering to business owners across the divide.
He observed that Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration has done well to improve several sectors of the state’s economy.
Still, in this third year of his administration, he wants the government to scale up the fight against insecurity and improve agriculture.
