Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji has dissolved the State Executive Council with immediate effect.
Secretary to the State Government, Habibat Adubiaro, who announced this, said the affected Commissioners and Special Advisers have been directed to hand over to Permanent Secretaries or the most senior civil servants in their respective ministries, departments and agencies.
He said Governor Oyebanji thanked the ex-officials for their services and wished them success in their future endeavours.

The government, however, said the dissolution of the cabinet did not affect the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Commissioners for Health and Human Services, Agriculture and Food Security, Education, Works, Trade, Investment, Industry and Cooperatives.
The Directors General, who are members of the State Executive Council, were also directed to retain their positions.
