Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, has commended the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) for its role in promoting diaspora engagement, describing the commission as a critical pillar in the implementation of the Tinubu administration’s “4Ds” agenda.
The minister said this during a working visit to NiDCOM, where he commended the NiDCOM chair, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, for designing and executing innovative programmes that not only connect Nigerians abroad with opportunities at home but also seek to project Nigeria’s image positively on the global stage.

Tuggar added that the 4Ds framework has NIDOM as a strategic partner because Nigerians in diaspora are crucial to national développement in areas of investment and innovation.
Dabiri-Erewa had outlined NiDCOM’s achievements including the National Diaspora Day and National Diaspora Merit Awards, the establishment of the National Diaspora Policy, which is set for review as well as the Diaspora Data
