The independent National Electoral Commission, INEC says all is set for the conduct of the Senate and State House of Assembly by-elections, as it has concluded the distributed of Sensitive election materials to the affected centres.
INEC is to conduct the by-elections to fill the vacant seats for the Anambra South Senatorial district previously occupied by late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and that of the Onitsha North I State Assembly which the slain Justice Azuka had held before his unfortunate death in December 2024.
The exercise of distribution of the sensitive election materials which was done in the afternoon of Thursday, was witnessed by security agencies and journalists.

The INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in charge of Anambra State, Elizabeth Agwu, says the interest of the commission is for the votes of the electorates to count, encouraging all eligible voters to participate in the by-election.
