Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, says the landslide victory recorded by candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the just-concluded National Assembly by-elections has reaffirmed the legitimacy of his governorship victory.
Governor Okpebholo made this remark when he received Omosede Igbinedion, winner of the Ovia Federal Constituency seat, in his office. He noted that he had patiently awaited the outcome of the elections to prove to the opposition that his previous victory was no fluke.
Edo state Deputy Governor , Dennis Idahosa, led Omosede Igbinedion, who will now replace him at the House of Representatives—to the Governor’s office to express gratitude for the governor’s support during the campaign which contributed to the APC’s success.
Omosede Igbinedion expressed profound appreciation to Governor Okpebholo, describing his role as pivotal to her victory at the polls.
