Angola defeated Mali 70-43 in the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket Final to win a record twelve titles at the Kilamba Arena in the capital city of Luanda.
The win is the country’s first African title since the 2013 tournament in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire
Although it wasn’t their most impressive performance in the tournament, they led from start to finish.
Currently ranked third in Africa and 33rd in the world, Angola made mincemeat of Mali, ranked 12th in Africa and 83rd in the world. beating them in all four quarters: 14-10, 18-10, 19-11, and 19-12, with a whopping 27 points difference

Childe Dudao led the new champions in scoring with 16 points and received MVP chants later in the fourth quarter. Selton Miguel was the other Angolan to score in the double digits, finishing with 12 points.
On the other hand, Siriman Kanoute and Aliou Diarra led Mali with 14 and 11 points, respectively.
Early in the day, Senegal defeated Cameroon 98-72, securing their third consecutive Third-Place finish.
