The Association of Resident Doctors, Federal Capital Territory administration this Monday began an indefinite strike.
The association says the strike became necessary because its demands have not been met after the 7-day warning strike which ended on Sunday, September 14 2025.
The doctors vowed that the industrial action will go on until government and relevant authorities demonstrate genuine commitment to prioritising health in the FCT.
Earlier, the National Association of Resident Doctors called off its 5-day warning strike after two days and directed its members to resume work on Sunday September 14, to give government more time to meet its demands.
Some of the doctors’ demands include payment of outstanding salaries, benefits, manpower, and the renovation of all FCTA hospitals to global standard.
