The Police in Ondo State, Southwest Nigeria have launched an investigation into the alleged mysterious disappearance of a man, identified as Olaloye Olatunde.
Olatunde had reportedly traveled from Owo on Sunday, August 24, 2025, to attend a Child Labour program organized by a Non-Governmental Organization in Akure, the State capital.
His personal belongings were later found inside the room of the Hotel where he was lodged during the seminar.

Police spokesperson, Olushola Alayande confirmed the incident, adding that the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit is handling the investigation.
Meanwhile, the Hotel’s management, in a statement to Newsmen, dismissed claims of kidnapping or any criminal activity within its premises.
The management clarified that Olatunde was among participants who lodged at the Hotel for the workshop, but unlike others who checked out on the final day, his belongings remained in the room.
