The 2025 edition has kicked off in the Southeast Asian country, with more than 2,400 exhibitors from 80 countries

Since its debut in 2004, the Malaysia International Halal Showcase, MIHAS, has grown into the world’s largest halal industry exhibition.

Beyond being a trade fair, it has become a global hub for innovation, business expansion, and cross-border partnerships.

In 2024 alone, MIHAS recorded sales of 4.3 billion Malaysian ringgit, cementing its position as a premier platform driving the halal economy, now valued at over five trillion dollars globally.

At the MIHAS trade opening, MATRADE Chairman Reezal Merican speaks of its role as a global link for the Halal industry, fostering knowledge exchange and partnerships that cut across continents.

Nigerian delegates describe the expo as a huge window for Africa to boost intercontinental trade and close existing market gaps.

Other African participants see MIHAS as a window to market access and investment opportunities that can accelerate the continent’s economic growth.
