The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC says it has not suspended the proposed delineation of wards in Warri Federal Constituency of Delta State as ordered by the Supreme Court.
The clarification followed reports that the delineation has been suspended.
INEC explained that one of its officials was misquoted on the proposed delineation of wards in Warri Federal Constituency as ordered by the Supreme Court in its judgement delivered on 2nd December 2022.

The Commission in a statement signed by its National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Sam Olumekun on Monday, affirmed that contrary to the report, the proposed delineation has not been suspended and no final decision has been taken on the matter.
The Commission says the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration, CVR is being undertaken in all the local government areas under the said constituency and appealed to all the parties connected to the matter to continue to maintain peace in the area.
