Nigeria’s democracy is once again under the spotlight as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and the European Union Election Observation Mission jointly warned that failure to act on electoral reforms could compromise the integrity of the 2027 general elections.
At a meeting in Abuja on thursday, INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu disclosed that legislative inaction is stalling critical reforms needed to stabilize the Nigeria’s electoral system.
