As political activities intensify ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, the younger brother of former Governor Ayodele Fayose, Emmanuel Fayose has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
His defection is regarded as a significant political move that could reshape alignments within the state’s political landscape.

In his remarks shortly after his defection, Emmanuel Fayose described the PDP as a “dead party” and criticized the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, accusing it of non-performance across all sectors.
Leaders and stakeholders of the ADC have welcomed him into their fold in his ward afao Ekiti describing the development as a major boost to the party’s chances in the upcoming polls.
