Minister of Works, David Umahi has warned contractors handling road projects in Edo State to deliver promptly or risk revocation of their contracts.
Umahi’s note of caution came during his inspection tour of critical federal road projects in the state alongside the State, Governor Monday Okpebholo.
The inspection team visited the Ekpoma section of the Benin–Ekpoma–Auchi Expressway, a vital link between Edo and the Northern corridor.
While commending some contractors for meeting expectations, Umahi cautioned others who he says have failed to deliver on their projects.

Governor Okpebholo, who has already embarked on interventions on some federal roads in the state, expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his commitment to road development.
The Minister, in turn, applauded the Governor’s efforts and formally handed over the Ewu-Agbor carriageway to Edo State Government for execution.
Another project site visited is the ongoing Benin–Asaba Expressway.
The day’s inspection rounded off at the signature flyover project at the Ramat Park axis in Benin City.
