NIgeria’s First Lady makes case for early detection as country marks breast cancer awareness month

The Wife of the President, Oluremi Tinubu has called on Nigerian women to make their health a top priority by embracing regular self-examination and medical screenings for early detection of breast cancer.

In a message to mark 2025 Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Mrs Tinubu emphasized the importance of awareness, early action, and collective support in the fight against the disease.

The First Lady also urged Nigerians to show solidarity with survivors and to spread information that encourages preventive healthcare.

She urged Nigerians to raise awareness, support survivors, and encourage one another to take proactive steps for better health.

Tinubu’s message aligns with global efforts to reduce breast cancer mortality through education, advocacy, and improved access to healthcare services.
