The fight against phone snatching in Kano take has taken a major leap, as the first batch of 380 youth marshals has completed their training.
The recruits wrapped up their paramilitary drills on Sunday at the Kano State institute of corporate security, two weeks after they were enlisted by the state government with supervision by the ministry of internal security.
With high spirits and renewed morale, the three hundred and eighty anti phone snatching marshals marched out of camp on Sunday, marking the end of their intensive training.
The programme launched by the Kano State Government, aims to tackle phone snatching and related crimes across the state, with a charge from the commandant of the institute, Captain Mohamed Bello on the values to hold ahead of their passing out parade
Instructors said the recruits passed through rigorous sessions to build fitness, close-order combat and surveillance tactics
Governor Abba Yusuf and the supervising commissioner, Air vice Marshal Ibrahim Umaru, retired, received praises for prioritizing their welfare throughout the period of training.
