Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has ordered a full investigation into the recent killing of some residents of Akinlalu Community by operatives of the Amotekun Corps.
The governor has subsequently dispatched a top-level government delegation to the affected community to find out what transpired on the day of the incident.
The incident occurred on Tuesday last week.
Four persons lost their lives, leaving the entire community destabilized.
Six days after the tragic killings, parents of the victims and other residents are still struggling to come to terms with the incident, allegedly perpetrated by operatives of the Amotekun Corps.
On Sunday, the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly who led some top government officials to commiserate with the community, assured that the government will ensure justice is done.
Recall that Akinlalu residents claimed that Amotekun operatives invaded the community on Tuesday shooting sporadically at the centre of the town, leading to the killing of four persons leaving eight others critically injured. But Amotekun said the operatives invaded the peaceful community on Tuesday afternoon on the claim that a suspect seized their locally-fabricated weapon.
