Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima, has directed the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), to come up with new fares within 2 days.
This decision is based on the recent appreciation of the Naira against the US Dollar, a key determinant for pilgrimage fares.
The Vice President handed down the President’s directive during a meeting with NAHCON management and Board members at the Presidential Villa.
Shettima, emphasized the need for synergy among national and state officials, including Governors, to streamline and adopt a new set of fares for the exercise.

The Vice President urged prompt action by all stakeholders to ensure quick payments and timely remittances.
