The Bauchi State Government, in partnership with the World Bank, supported by Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) project, and in collaboration with UNFPA, has embarked on a street walk to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child, led by the Bauchi state Commissioner of Education Dr Lawan Rimin Zayam.
The initiative aims to advocate increased enrollment of adolescent girls back into schools across Bauchi State.
The street walk, which commenced at the Ministry of Education, is expected to conclude at the Bauchi State Government House, to be received by the Wife of the Governor, Aisha Bala.
