Oyo State Grants financial Autonomy to state Assembly

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has assented to a bill granting financial Autonomy to the state house of assembly while signing into law the 2022 state budget.

The Governor said his administration will continue to make budgetary process open and transparent in the state.

He said the state government will continue to partner the state Assembly with a view to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of oyo state.

He noted that the increased revenue will enable his administration fund the 2022 budget with the hope of enhancing service delivery.

Governor Makinde however dispelled rumours in the media of budget padding

The 294.7bllion naira budget taged budget of “growth and opportunity” is expected to expand Oyo state infrastructure in the coming months
