The Senate will on Thursday, October 16, 2025, conduct the screening of Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan, SAN, the nominee of President Bola Tinubu, for the position of Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
This is contained in a statement signed by Director of Information, Office of the Secretary, Research and Information, Bullah Audu Bi-Allah, notifying members of the media and the general public of the scheduled exercise.
According to the statement, the screening will take place at the Senate Chamber, National Assembly Complex, Abuja.

Members of the Senate Press Corps have been requested to provide full media coverage to ensure effective public dissemination of proceedings.
Television stations are also expected to provide live coverage of the event.
The Directorate expressed appreciation for the continued cooperation and professional conduct of journalists in covering the activities of the National Assembly.
