Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, says he is ready to appear before the court as a witness in the ongoing trial of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, if subpoenaed.
The Minister made this known during his monthly media chat in Abuja, where he addressed several national issues including his policies in the FCT, the fate of the PDP National Convention, and reports alleging a ban on his monthly media chat by President Bola Tinubu.

Kanu in a notice before the Federal High Court Abuja indicated that he will be inviting 23 witnesses in his Defence with 12 of them to be summoned on subpoena including Governors Hope Uzodimma of Imo State and Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and former Abia Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
Other witnesses to be summoned by Federal High Court Abuja in Defence of Kanu are Minister of Works David Umahi and his FCT counterpart, Nyesom Wike, former Defence Minister Theophilus Danjuma along with serving and retired service and security chiefs.
