The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the extension of the ongoing collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in Anambra State ahead of the state’s upcoming off-cycle governorship election on November 8.
In a statement issued by INEC’s Director of Voter Education and Publicity, Victoria Eta-Messi, the Commission said the decision followed several appeals from citizens and stakeholders requesting additional time to enable eligible voters to collect their cards.

According to the statement, the exercise, which was initially scheduled to end on Sunday, October 26, 2025, will now continue from Wednesday, October 29, to Sunday, November 2, 2025. The extension applies to persons who registered during the recent Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise in the State.
Eta-Messi urged registered voters who are yet to collect their PVCs to take advantage of the extended period and visit the designated collection centres across the 326 Registration Areas and Wards in Anambra State.
INEC emphasized that collection of PVCs is strictly in person, as no collection by proxy is allowed.
